James B. (Brad) McClung is a 1988 graduate of Georgia State University School of Law.  He served as an assistant district attorney for six years following his graduation.  Commencing his civil practice in 1994, he joined an Atlanta area insurance defense firm where he represented special investigation units of various insurers.  The work involved both pre-suit investigation and litigation defense of fraudulent insurance claims, frequently utilizing the examination under oath provisions of automobile and fire and casualty policies.  The investigations were undertaken in conjunction with fraud investigators employed by the insurers and occasionally in cooperation with local law enforcement.  The cases included individual cases of fraud, local insured/attorney/chiropractor fraud rings, and international fraud rings.

 

Since 1997, his practice has been concentrated in the area of real estate related litigation, including malpractice defense of real estate professionals.  He has conducted well over 150 jury trials and has argued before the Georgia Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of Georgia.
